According to the tripartite memorandum of understanding signed between the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and the University of Hertfordshire of Great Britain, theoretical classes of a special program for students studying judo coaching in Guba have started.
Idman.biz reports that local expert Orkhan Safarov held seminars on "The role and responsibilities of a judo instructor", and British expert Bob Challis held seminars on "Health and safety in judo".
As part of the program, practical judo lessons are also conducted under the leadership of Professor Mike Callen of the University of Hertfordshire.
The main goal of the initiative is to ensure that students studying coaching acquire knowledge and skills that meet international standards.
It should be noted that more than 60 students participate in the program.
