A thoroughly renovated judo hall has been inaugurated at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA).
Idman.biz reports that Fuad Hajiyev, the rector of ASA, speaking at the opening ceremony of the hall, stated that the professional training of judokas and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle are among the main priorities of the Academy.
The rector expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) for their support.
Rashad Rasululu, the Secretary-General of the AJF, noted in his speech that effective cooperation has been established between the ASA and the federation for three years. He also stated that the organization of practical classes in judo with the University of Hertfordshire in Great Britain and the holding of advanced training courses for new coaches are important areas of this cooperation.
Later, Professor Mike Callen of the University of Hertfordshire in Great Britain spoke, highly appreciating the tripartite cooperation established between ASA and ACF. He emphasized that this cooperation makes a great contribution to the dissemination of judo knowledge not only within the country but also on the international stage.
