The European Judo Cup among juniors has started in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijani national team finished the first day of the competition with 8 medals. Our judokas won 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Ibrahim Talibov (-55 kg) and Konul Eyvazli (-48 kg) defeated all their opponents and climbed to the highest step of the podium.
Ilkin Garayev (-66 kg) and Zahra Guliyeva (-40 kg) finished the competition with silver medals.
Nihad Agayev (-50 kg), Rza Khalil (-55 kg), Mehman Asgarov (-60 kg) and Parvin Sevxanli (-44 kg) won bronze awards.
After the first day of the competition, the Azerbaijani team is in first place in the overall standings according to the medal standings.
