Nazim Sadykhov, who won the champion title by defeating his opponent by knockout at the "UFC Fight Night" tournament held in Baku on June 23, held a meeting with Azerbaijani and Georgian athletes in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that the meeting was initiated by athlete Alim Nabiyev, a seven-time world and three-time European champion.
Alim Nabiyev said that the main goal is to further increase the interest of young people in sports, to inspire them to competitions and victory, and most importantly, to support them. The athlete had a sincere conversation with young people during the event, answered their questions and shared his personal experience.
Nazim Sadykhov said that this is his first time in Tbilisi. The purpose of the trip is to motivate young people and increase their belief in sports and victory: "Today, among the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, there are world and European champions, as well as athletes who have won in other international tournaments. There are also many compatriots among teenagers and young people who are interested in sports. Our goal is to further inspire them and encourage them to future victories."
He highly appreciated the interest of teenagers and young people living in Georgia in sports.
A joint training session was also organized within the framework of the meeting, and helmets and other sports accessories were presented to distinguished young athletes.
Cavid Maharramov, a responsible employee of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, who participated in the meeting, noted that such meetings are of great importance for young athletes in terms of achieving success in big arenas. He wished the athletes success.
It should be noted that Nazim Sadykhov is one of the first Azerbaijani fighters currently performing in the UFC and is successfully performing in the international arena.
