The Mosul Judo Training Center has opened in Zagatala. According to "Report", citing the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), the opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Head of the Zagatala District Executive Authority Mubariz Ahmadzadeh, Executive Vice President of ACF Rashad Rasul and others. The center, equipped with tatami mats that meet modern standards, has the necessary sports equipment in the physical training area to ensure the physical development of judokas. The total size of the tatami covers an area of 200 sq.m. In addition, there are coach and changing rooms. More than 200 athletes will practice judo in the hall. It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Judo Federation opened judo halls in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Agali village of Zangilan region, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh and Imishli in 2022-2025. The next judo halls will start operating in Shabran, Masalli, Jalilabad, Gobustan and Siyazan. Since 2022, the Azerbaijan Judo Federation has provided 11,400 tatami mats to 158 sports halls in Baku and regions, and more than 2,400 young athletes have been given the opportunity to train for free.
