Azerbaijani para-judoka Ilham Zakiyev (J1, +95 kg) has become the winner of the European Championship held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
"Report" reports that he defeated Moldovan Oleg Cretu in the 1/4 final.
Zakiyev defeated Turkish Gokhan Bicer in the semi-final and finally Moldovan Ion Basocu with ippon in the decisive stage to win the gold medal.
It should be noted that I. Zakiyev won the title of European Champion for the 9th time.
