The Azerbaijani national team of junior judokas failed to win a medal in the mixed team competition of the World Championship held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to the information of the "Report" employee sent to the tournament, the team defeated Georgia (4:2) in the 1/8 final stage, but lost to Japan in the 1/4 final - 1:4.
The Azerbaijani team lost to Poland in the consolation match - 2:4.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani judokas previously finished the individual competition with two bronze medals. Anar Guliyev (50 kg) and Zeyd Alasgarov (60 kg) won bronze awards.
