The European Judo Championship held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, concludes today.
Idman.Biz reports that three more members of the Azerbaijani national team will start competing on the final day of the competition. Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), Kenan Nasibov (+100 kg) and Madina Kaisinova (+78 kg) will step onto the tatami.
In the 100 kg weight category, Kotsoyev will face Nikola Pavlovski, a representative of North Macedonia, in the 1/16 finals. In +100 kg, Nasibov will join the fight from the 1/8 finals and will face the winner of the duel between Mateo Akiana Mongo from France and Erik Abramov from Germany. In +78 kg, Kaisinova will test her strength against Russian Elis Startseva in the 1/16 finals.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team already has 4 medals. Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won silver, and Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Turan Bayramov (66 kg) and Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) won bronze medals.
