Azerbaijani athletes have been remembered for their successful performance at the "Khan Fight 6" international professional MMA tournament held in Bursa, Turkey.
Idman.Biz reports that the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan has released information about this.
It was reported that Nihad Guliyev (70 kg) won by defeating his Brazilian opponent early in the first round. Narmin Aliyeva (52 kg) also gained an advantage over Brazilian Rak Figeyredo with a chokehold in the first round.
It was noted that Narmin Aliyeva agreed to fight with her opponent weighing 2 kg more, as the opponent could not fully complete the weight measurement.
Vilayat Zeynalov (66 kg) fought with experienced Brazilian Qilmar Moreyra in a three-round match and eventually won by unanimous decision of the judges.
V. Zeynalov was also awarded the "Fight of the Night" bonus for his high performance.
