Azerbaijani judoka Ahmad Yusifov won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Tbilisi. Sport24.az reports that the athlete, competing in the 60 kg weight category, defeated his teammate Balabay Agayev in the match for third place.
This was Azerbaijan's first medal at the current European Championship.
Another Azerbaijani judoka, Turan Bayramov, also won a bronze medal at the European Championship. Bayramov, competing in the 66 kg weight category, defeated Russian representative Abdullah Parchiev in the match for third place.
The European Championship will end on April 19.
