Adalat Alakbarov, a member of the Azerbaijan national futsal team, shared his thoughts after scoring a goal in the friendly match against Denmark.
Idman.Biz reports that the futsal player, who scored three goals in the national team, touched upon the reasons for the defeat in the first game.
According to him, in the previous match, both the attacking episodes were not used correctly, and unnecessary gaps were created for the opponent. After the game, the head coach explained the mistakes with video analysis and once again conveyed to the players how the team should play.
Alakbarov stated that although it was not possible to change everything in a short time, avoiding simple mistakes played a key role in the return game. He emphasized that the disappointment caused by the defeat and the desire for revenge had a serious impact on the victory.
The futsal player also noted that it is not correct to consider the Danish national team as a weak opponent. According to him, the opponent team had previously defeated Norway by a large score and defeated an experienced team like Kazakhstan in an official game. Alakbarov expressed this with the idea that "there is no weak opponent, there is a weak approach to the game."
Recalling that he scored his first goal for the national team, Adalat Alakbarov said that this moment was special for him. He said that he dedicated the goal he scored to his father, who passed away prematurely.
