Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso spoke about his team's winger Vinicius Junior ahead of their Spanish Super Cup semi-final match against Atletico Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports that the game will take place on January 8.
"There is a long season ahead and Vini will be important. We need him to enjoy playing, to be in his best form. When he does, he gives us a spark. We have to find him. He is a fundamental player for us," Sport.es quotes Alonso as saying.
It is worth recalling that the Brazilian player was booed by Los Blancos fans during a substitution in the Spanish league match against Betis, which ended in a 5-1 victory.
Vinicius Junior has been playing for Real Madrid since the summer of 2017. The winger has made 25 appearances for the club this season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists.
