Vugar Mustafayev, the analyst of the Azerbaijani national team consisting of football players under 21, spoke about his appointment to the national team.
The former football player of "Sumgayit", who gave an interview to the "Report" employee sent to Minsk, said that he was involved in a responsible job.
"Due to some reasons, I had to end my football career. I received a job offer from the management of the "Sumgayit" club, where I last played. At the same time, the head coach of the U-21 national team, Aykhan Abbasov, also said that he wanted to see me in the coaching staff. I considered both offers and decided that I could work in the national team. I express my gratitude to everyone who trusts me. This is a very responsible job. I believe that this time I will be useful to the national team as an analyst, whose honor I once defended as a football player," he said.
V.Mustafayev stated that he wants to work as a head coach in the future:
"I have already taken the first step. I want to gain experience and be useful to the team I work with. Anything can happen in the future. I may try myself as a head coach sometime. But I think it's a little early. I want to test myself to see how far I can go in this job. If it works out, my goal is to become a head coach".
It should be noted that U-21, which is currently holding training camp in Belarus, will face the corresponding age group team of this country tomorrow. The match, which will be held at the Baranovichi city stadium, will start at 19:00 local time (20:00 Baku time).
