The flag of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has been handed over to the organizers of the Universiade, which will be held in Chuncheon, South Korea in 2027.
Idman.biz's correspondent, dispatched to Germany, reports that this happened during the closing ceremony of the Universiade held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
South Korea will host the multi-sport event, held every two years, for the fourth time.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan won two gold and two silver medals at the Universiade held in Germany, taking 24th place in the overall standings. The rhythmic gymnastics group exercise team won two gold medals and also won a silver medal. Judoka Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) also won a silver medal.
