Two teams are vying for the championship in the Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Super League.
Idman.biz reports that this was stated by the head coach of the national team, Sahib Mammadov, in his statement to "Report".
He believes that the main fight will be between the "Marafon" and VTB teams: "According to the regulations, all teams will play against each other. The team with the most points will become the champion. Before the coronavirus, there was an Azerbaijani beach soccer championship. It has not been organized for the last 6 years. Of course, holding this championship is a very good event. Because new players can be found for the national team. Six teams will participate. The favorites, that is, the main contenders for the championship, are the "Marafon" and VTB teams. Because half of the national team members are in one of these teams, and half are in the other. It seems to me that the main fight will be between these teams."
The specialist emphasized that the champion team will participate in the main stage of the "Euro Winners Cup":
"The champion team will represent Azerbaijan in the main stage of the "Euro Winners Cup". The team that takes second place will participate in the "Euro Challengers", which is the play-off of this competition."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Super League will start tomorrow and will last until July 15.
