Atletico head coach Diego Simeone has assessed his team's performance after the away match against Osasuna in La Liga. Sport24.az reports that the Argentine expert emphasized the importance of the victory in Pamplona and said he was satisfied with the players' fight.
Simeone noted that the team showed a determined game:
"It is always very important to represent the team properly. We were not as determined in the last game as we are now. It is always difficult to play here. The opponent was putting pressure, there was a tense fight in the penalty area. But with consistent passes, we were able to create goal chances and win the victory we wanted."
The experienced coach especially noted the players' attitude on the field:
"Today, the kids showed respect for each other and the uniform they wear. They kept the spirit of competition, and I hope we will continue like this. There has not been a single game where our team has not fought."
The head coach also spoke about Antoine Griezmann's future and the controversial episodes in the match:
"This victory was very good for us. I hope the fans will thank Griezmann as he deserves. As for the penalty episode, it was clear that Musso touched the ball first. As for the opponent's protests regarding the refereeing, if we are constantly complaining about something, we can understand their dissatisfaction as well."
