A fine of 6510 manats is too much for an I League club.
The president of "Shahdag Gusar" Rahid Amirguliyev said this in an interview with "Report".
He commented on the punishment of his team by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee:
"Such fines are considered a large amount for I League clubs. I don't want to believe that the doctor of our club, Mushfig Hummatli, insulted or threatened the chief referee of the match. I even asked him about it himself. In response, he said that the first referee said something extra to him, and our doctor responded. But the fact is that the chief referee's word is believed and fines are applied. But when we say it, it is not considered. Coach Babek Allahverdiyev was also shown a red card and he was also punished. He also told me that he expressed his protest during a normal game, but the response was harsh."
The club leader said that such cases damage the club's image:
"The budget allocated for I League clubs is not enough for many expenses anyway. And such a fine is an additional burden and further complicates the club's activities. Believe me, we are always as careful as possible during games. I tell the players not to have extra conversations with the referees, to react calmly to decisions. Because extra actions can damage the club's image."
Rahid Amirguliyev said that they are not thinking of appealing the decision:
"If we complain, we must have evidence. But we cannot prove that we are innocent."
It should be noted that the "Shahdag Gusar" club was fined 6,510 manats by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee. This was caused by the events in the XVII round match with "Shafa". The Gusar representative will pay 210 manats because 4 people received yellow cards. The team's doctor, Mushfig Hummatli, will be suspended for the next 4 matches for receiving a direct red card for insulting and threatening the referee. The club lost 3,000 manats for this reason.
Coach Babek Allahverdiyev, who insulted the referee, faced the same punishment for receiving a direct red card, and "Shahdag Gusar" was fined another 3,000 manats. In addition, the club's executive director, Mirza Bayrampul, entered Zone 1 without a release accreditation. This cost the I League representative 300 manats.
