The U-17 team of "Qarabag" will continue the fight as the best third-place team in the "Gothia Puma Trophy" held in Sweden.
This was stated by Aftandil Hajiyev, the coordinator of the club's academy, in his statement to "Report".
The expert said that the group matches are over:
"The group matches ended yesterday. Our team finished the group with one win, one draw, and one loss. From today, the teams will be divided into groups A and B. As the owner of the best third place, we will continue our way in group B from the 1/4 finals. Our opponent is not yet known. The teams of Swedish academies are considered among the best. The champions of both groups will be awarded. The system is such that the losing team will leave the competition. Each group has a playoff stage".
The "Qarabag" official expressed positive opinions about the tournament:
"Only good things can be said about the tournament. We are participating in such a competition for the first time. The history of the competition says it all. They celebrated its 50th anniversary today. We are participating in elite groups. Almost all of the participants come from the academies of professional clubs from different countries".
It should be noted that the Aghdam representative finished the group stage of the competition held in Sweden with 4 points.
