"Qarabag" club presented its first Sustainability Report to the public in the region.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to the Aghdam representative.
This step reaffirms the club's leading position not only in the sports field, but also in terms of social responsibility, environmental approach and modern management principles. This initiative is a first not only in Azerbaijan, but in the entire region. "Qarabag" is also distinguished as one of the leading clubs among European teams that prepare reports in this direction.
The presented report widely reflects the club's activities in the following areas:
* Ecological sustainability and efficient management of resources
* Social responsibility projects, inclusive development initiatives and community relations
* Corporate governance and transparency principles
The report also covers the club's future development strategy, its steps towards adaptation to international standards and long-term sustainability goals.
The report notes that in the 2024/2025 season, "Qarabag"'s revenues increased by 12.7 percent (34.75 million manats). It was reported that the total volume of the club's assets in the past season amounted to 47.04 million manats.
It should be noted that the report was prepared with the support of "Deloitte", one of the world's leading audit and consulting companies, within the framework of cooperation with the club. The company is known for its international experience, especially in the preparation of sustainability reports, the application of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards and increasing corporate transparency. Within the framework of cooperation with "Qarabag", "Deloitte" provided methodological support to the process of structuring the report in accordance with international standards, correct measurement and presentation of data, as well as integration into global reporting principles.
This partnership further increases the credibility of the document and its potential for international acceptance. It should be reminded that "Qarabag" Football Club is an official partner of the "Sports for Climate Action" initiative implemented by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). By joining this initiative, the club also supports the UN's "Race to Zero" campaign, confirming its commitment to contributing to global climate goals.
"Qarabag" president Tahir Gozel stated that the sustainability report reflects not only the work done, but also the values formed over the years and the responsibility they bear to future generations:
"This report is a clear expression of the values, our understanding of responsibility and our vision for the future that we have formed over the years. Here, along with the work we do, we reflect the principles we believe in and the responsibility we bear to future generations. This initiative is a first for our club, for Azerbaijan, and for the entire region."
Every point in the report is based on real activities and measurable results. We believe that this approach will become a reference point for other clubs operating in the region and will give impetus to a new stage of sustainable development. The report is also part of the commitments we have made within the framework of COP29. Undoubtedly, this is our first report and we have started to take our first steps in this direction. We believe that the next reports will reflect more detailed, development-oriented and comparable results."
