Huseyn Seyidov, assistant coach of "Qarabag" club, has completed an internship program at the Turkish club "Galatasaray". According to Sport24.az, the coach said in a statement to the club's website that the trip was very important for him both professionally and personally:
"I thank everyone, especially Emrah Celikel and coach Gurban Gurbanov, for creating this opportunity. This was a very valuable experience for me. I both tested myself, saw what I am capable of, and realized in which areas I need to improve my knowledge. I was received very warmly at Galatasaray. We spent up to 10 hours a day with head coach Okan Buruk and goalkeeping coach Fadıl Koşutan. We discussed many issues, from video analysis to different approaches to each goalkeeper. I had the opportunity to closely follow and learn the trends of modern football."
The assistant coach noted that the working process with Fadıl Koşutan was especially useful for him:
"Fadıl Koşutan is a UEFA "Pro" category coach. We had long discussions with him during the day. He is a specialist who has worked with Taffarel and Muslera for many years. On the last day, we were already in an environment of completely open exchange of ideas. He said that I came from such a long distance purely to learn and highly appreciated it. This attitude was an additional motivation for me. Frankly, I returned from there with great confidence."
Seyidov also spoke about the differences between "Galatasaray" and "Qarabag":
"Of course, there are certain differences. "Galatasaray" quickly adopts European innovations and applies them to its system. In this regard, they are a few steps ahead of us. But we have already started to apply these innovations in "Qarabag" as well. In terms of the overall training process, there is no serious difference. It's just that the conditions created for goalkeeping coaches are different there. They have individual rooms, special equipment and analysis opportunities. This directly affects the quality of work."
He stated that he also conveyed his proposals to the club management in this direction:
"Our management approached this issue very positively and provided support. I think this will further increase the effectiveness of our work. This trip was a big step for me both in terms of experience and motivation. I have already started to apply the knowledge and experience I have gained in our team."
