“Neftçi” and “Qarabağ” urge fans to follow the rules - JOINT STATEMENT

"Neftçi" and "Qarabağ" clubs, which will face each other on April 26 and 30 within the Azerbaijan Premier League, have issued a joint statement.

Idman.Biz reports that the statement addresses the fans of both teams.

"Ticket sales continue for these games, which football fans are eagerly awaiting. Fans are showing great interest in the matches, and it is expected that the stands will be full in both meetings.

The struggle of the country's two most titled clubs has always been the focus of attention of the public, the media and football fans. There is no doubt that the upcoming two games will cause the same interest.

During the approximately 35 years of rivalry between the eternal rivals, fans have witnessed many bright games, beautiful goals, and uncompromising struggle on the field. These matches also promise us exciting moments, unique emotions and a real football show.

As always, the teams will fight to the end to win again. As "Qarabağ" and "Neftçi", we call on our fans to be calm, to show respect to the opposing team and fans, to the participants of the game, and to support their favorite teams to the end within the framework of high culture and fair play principles.

Let's not forget that football is not only the spiritual food of millions of people, but also just a game. In a game where one of the two teams that come to the field leaves that field with joy and the other with sadness, what happens on the field must stay on the field. What suits each of us is not to exceed the ethical framework in Azerbaijan's most anticipated match, to show high professionalism and respect for rivals.

Both clubs express their confidence that the game will be held in a friendly atmosphere, in an atmosphere of intense sports competition, and invite fans to the stadium.

May Azerbaijani football win!", the statement said.
