Liverpool, representing the English Premier League, is preparing to transfer Florian Wirtz, the midfielder of the German club Bayer 04, for a record amount.
Report, citing foreign media, reports that the Merseyside club will pay 130-135 million euros for the 22-year-old player.
The football player will travel to England next week to conclude the contract and will undergo a medical examination there. Wirtz's contract is expected to be for 5 years. After the contract is signed, it will go down in history as Liverpool's most expensive transfer.
The club's previous record dates back to the summer of 2022, when Darwin Núñez joined the team. At that time, the team paid 85 million euros for the Uruguayan striker.
