Swedish pole vaulter Armand "Mondo" Duplantis set his 13th world record in Budapest, clearing a height of 6.29 meters.
According to Lent.az, Mondo's journey began in February 2020. In Torun, Poland, he cleared 6.17 meters, breaking the eight-year-old record of his childhood idol, Renaud Lavillenie.

In 2022, Duplantis broke the record three times (6.19; 6.20; 6.21 m) and won gold medals at both indoor and outdoor world championships.
In 2023, he broke the record again, jumping 6.22 meters at the Lavillenie tournament and then 6.23 meters in Eugene.
"I want to respectfully remember Renaud; I couldn't have cleared this height without him," he reiterated.

In 2025, he broke the record twice: 6.27 m in Clermont-Ferrand and 6.28 m in Stockholm.
