Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has left French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
"Report" reports that he announced this on his Instagram page.
"Dear PSG fans, from the first day I was at the club, I gave everything on and off the field to earn my place and proudly defend this club's goal. Unfortunately, someone decided that I can no longer be part of the team and contribute to its success, this decision disappoints and saddens me.
To my teammates - my second family - thank you for every match, every shared moment. You will always be my brothers, it was a great honor for me to play for this club," he wrote.
Donnarumma is 26 years old and has been playing for PSG since 2021. Together with the team, he is a four-time French champion, a two-time winner of the country's Cup, and last season he won the Champions League with the Parisians. As part of the Italian national team, he became the European champion in 2021. In the 2024/25 season, Donnarumma played 47 matches for PSG.
Earlier, PSG head coach Luis Enrique stated that he personally made the decision to exclude the goalkeeper from the application, adding that he needed a different type of goalkeeper.
