The reason for this was the name written on the form of Olavale Doyeni, the football player with number 4 in the club's squad. A letter not found in the Azerbaijani alphabet was used in the spelling of his name.
The team, which newly joined the Premier League, was warned in the first round for this reason. However, a similar case happened again. As a result, "Karvan-Yevlax" club was fined 1500 manats.
It should be noted that in the "Turan Tovuz" - "Araz-Nakhchivan" match, the representative of Nakhchivan lost 700 manats because 4 of its football players received yellow cards.
