"As I always say, we are in negotiations with several clubs, including "Shamakhi".
This was stated by "Shamakhi" striker Karim Rossi in an interview with sportnet.az after the 31st round match of the Misli Premier League, which they lost 0:3 to "Neftchi".
We present the interview.
- Could you share your impressions of the game...
- It was a difficult game for us. "Neftchi" deserved to win, they were the better side today. They really put on a very strong game, they have quality players. We could not put on the game we wanted to show. Our plans were disrupted because we conceded an early goal. I congratulate "Neftchi", they deserved to win.
- Your contract expires at the end of the season. What is the situation with your future? Are you thinking of leaving or are negotiations continuing?
- As I always say, we are in negotiations with several clubs, including "Shamakhi". My contract expires in two weeks. I thank the club for the opportunity it gave me this season. It was nice for me to be here and help the team. Now we will see - whether I will stay in Azerbaijan or go abroad. I have no final agreement with any club at the moment. I want to finish the season and then make a decision.
- If you get a better offer from Azerbaijan, would you consider playing here again?
- Yes, I think I would like to stay here. I feel good and my family is happy here. I like the league and I don't think I played badly this season. Therefore, it would be logical for me to stay in Azerbaijan. But anything is possible in football, a lot can change. It's not just up to me, there are many factors. We will see.
