Joan Laporta has resigned as the president of "Barcelona". Sport24.az reports that the Catalan club's official website has released information about this.
The resignation is official. Laporta took this step to participate in the elections to be held on March 15.
In addition to the president, a part of the club's Board of Directors has also resigned. The resignations became official today, after the date of the new elections was officially announced.
It should be noted that Joan Laporta served as the president of "Barcelona" from 2003 to 2010. He was re-elected to this position in March 2021.
