A pilot project has been implemented to improve the quality and variety of live broadcasts in the Misli Premier League. According to Sport24.az, the Professional Football League has tested new on-air graphics for broadcasting matches within the 18th round.
The project was implemented in collaboration with the international "Insport" company and "CBC Sport" television. The first test game was the match between "Zira" and "Sabah".
The new on-air graphics allow for a more detailed and visual presentation of statistical data during the game. During the live broadcast, the percentage of ball possession, number of shots, direction of attacks, intensity of pressing, as well as individual indicators of football players were brought to the attention of the audience in real time.
Subsequently, the pilot project continued in the match between "Qarabag" and "Turan Tovuz". In that game, the Aghdam representative showed superiority in ball control, scoring a total of 65 percent, and in the first half, this figure rose to 70 percent. "Qarabag" made 567 passes during the match, and 85 percent of them were accurate. The home team was remembered with 8 shots, 5 of which hit the target.
"Turan Tovuz", on the other hand, was more distinguished by the dangerous episodes it created. Although the guests' expected goal indicator (xG) was 1.83, this advantage was not reflected in the score. Abdullah Zubir scored the only goal in the match in the 41st minute, giving his team the victory.
The newly applied on-air graphics were also memorable with other remarkable points. In the 39th minute of the "Zira" - "Sabah" game, Aron Maluda's ball touch project was presented in graphical form. Also, when players were substituted, their activity map was also presented. In the "Qarabag" - "Turan Tovuz" match, the distance covered by Ibrahima Vadji while on the field and in which parts of the field he fought were shown in graphical form. In addition, the accuracy of passes by football players was also reflected in the on-air graphics. The accuracy of long passes by "Qarabag" midfielder Marko Jankovic during the season was estimated at 79%.
The basis of the pilot project was to present the tactical and statistical aspects of the game in a more understandable and at the same time visual form in the live broadcast of Misli Premier League matches. This approach allowed fans to watch the matches more comprehensively and informed.
