– I congratulate my players and fans. Today, they seemed to be together on the field. It was a beautiful victory.
The players were not afraid of "Copenhagen". They fought very hard. In such games, there is a moment when you have to endure it. We felt it in the second half. The opponent took risks. We lost the ball. This kind of struggle will benefit us in the upcoming games. It was a good game and a tough fight. I also spoke with the head coach of the opposing team. We were interested in their working principles. I wish them success, they were a positive team.
– If they had said after the draw that you would win 6 points in two games, would you have believed it?
– There should be a general opinion. Maybe not everyone would have such confidence. But I have always had confidence. Last year we had very good games, but victory was far away. There was confidence that if we preserve our game, improve the fight a little, we can improve the results. I always approach my work with confidence. I also recommend it to them on the field. If there is no faith, you cannot play this game. Football is a collective game. If one person is afraid, it is impossible to achieve success. I might not have expected 6 points, but I believed.
– How does it feel to be in the leading group in a prestigious UEFA tournament in a non-football country?
– Very nice, very pleasant. We are "Qarabağ" of Azerbaijan. It's great to be in those places. The President also congratulated and I thank him. Our responsibility increases even more.
