Josep Guardiola, head coach of the English football club "Manchester City", has made a strong statement regarding the VAR system.
Idman.Biz reports that the Spanish specialist stated in an interview with the BBC that his team has suffered from referee and VAR decisions.
Guardiola cited the two FA Cup finals that "Manchester City" lost in 2024 and 2025 as examples. According to him, in those games, the referees and VAR did not do their job.
Nevertheless, the specialist emphasized that the team should not blame the referees. He noted that in such cases, "Manchester City" should play better and decide the result with their own game.
"VAR is like tossing a coin. That's why you have to do everything better, be in the best position," the head coach added.
"Manchester City" is in second place in the English Premier League with 74 points after 35 games.
