Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has revealed the names of the best candidates for the head coach position of the Red Devils.
Idman.Biz reports that Neville has asked Michael Carrick, the Red Devils' interim coach, to resign after the current season.
"I hope Michael does well. But we can't allow Michael to stay in this position after this season, for his own sake and for the club's sake, even if he wins every game. The three main candidates for this position are Tuchel, Ancelotti and Pochettino. They could potentially come after the World Cup. We need a manager with a strong reputation who will take the job seriously to make Manchester United an attractive club for players. Appointing a young manager will lose United players. Manchester United will lose a lot of players anyway, but someone like Ancelotti can bring in new players," The Sun newspaper quotes Neville as saying.
Manchester United announced Carrick's appointment as head coach on January 13. The former Red Devils midfielder signed a contract with the club until the end of the season. After the dismissal of Portuguese striker Ruben Amorim, the team was led by another former Manchester United player, Darren Fletcher.
