Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has announced that he does not intend to resign.
Idman.Biz reports that the 79-year-old Perez has also denied reports that he has a serious illness.
"I'm very sorry to tell you this, but I'm not going to resign... I'm not going to resign! Campaigns are being waged against me. But I'm still here and I'm the president. People were saying I had cancer, but it was all a lie. I'm not tired," Perez said at a press conference.
Perez was president of Real Madrid from 2000 to 2006. He returned to the post in 2009.
