"A difficult away game awaits "Qarabag".
These words were said by the former goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani national team, Farhad Veliyev.
The 45-year-old veteran goalkeeper spoke about the upcoming "Liverpool" - "Qarabag" game in the UEFA Champions League.
"The victory in the game against "Eintracht" was not a surprise. Even before the game, I thought that our representative could beat the German club. Once again, we witnessed that "Qarabag" can defeat strong teams both away and at home," he said in a statement to sport24.az.
The former goalkeeper of "Qarabag" said that "Liverpool" is one of the biggest clubs in the world:
"The opponent wants to win and strengthen its place in the top 8. No matter how difficult it is, let's hope that "Qarabag" will return from England with at least a point."
It should be noted that tomorrow the "Liverpool" and "Qarabag" teams will face each other in the eighth round of the main stage of the UEFA Champions League. The match will start at 23:59 Baku time. After 7 games, "Qarabag" is 18th with 10 points, and "Liverpool" is fourth with 15 points.
