Emmanuel Hackman's comments on the victory over "Sumgayit" and expectations for the game against "Qarabag"

"Turan Tovuz" defender Emmanuel Hackman answered journalists' questions after the match against "Sumgayit" (2:1) in the 17th round of the Misli Premier League. We present the interview, in which an employee of Sport24.az also participated:

- How would you comment on the victory?
- It was a difficult game. We knew it would be like that from the beginning. No matter how strong the opponent was, our goal was to win. We fought well and got the result we needed. We continue on our way.

- Although you were completely dominant in the first half, you left gaps in the back line in the second 45 minutes. What causes the difficulties you experienced in defense?
- We really started the game very well, the advantage was completely on our side. In the second half, the opponent became more active. This is normal too. Because "Sumgayit" also wanted to win. That's why they went forward with great force. We also structured our game accordingly. We know what to do in such moments. I think we did our best and deservedly won.

- To what extent did the visit of the club's Chairman of the Board, Ehtiram Guliyev, to the base before the game and his meeting with the team have a positive impact on "Turan Tovuz" in the match against "Sumgayit"?
- Of course, this kind of meeting of the club leader with us was a great motivation for the team. I am glad that we lived up to expectations and left the first match of the year with 3 points.

- Thanks to this victory, you rose to the third place in the tournament table. How far can "Turan Tovuz" go?
- We want to play in the Champions League. We wish it. We understand that it is not easy at all. But at the same time, we believe that we will achieve our dream. With each game, we get better and better.

- Your next match is against "Qarabag", which is one step away from the Champions League play-off stage. What are your expectations from that game?
- It will be a great game. "Qarabag" is also a very good team. Although we respect them, we will go to the field to win. Time will tell how it will be.
