"Qarabag" football club continues to write golden history. In the second round of the main stage of the UEFA Champions League, the Aghdam team defeated the Danish team "Copenhagen" 2:0 in Baku. The Danish press also widely covered this match and acknowledged the strength of the "khulan horses".
"Report" presents an overview of the leading Danish media about the "Qarabag" match:
One of the largest and oldest newspapers in Denmark, "Politiken," noted that "Qarabag" had a fantastic start to the season, scoring 6 points (in two matches of the main stage of the tournament - ed.). The publication writes that the hosts deservedly won at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. At the same time, the publication emphasized that after the first half, the Aghdam team could have won with a bigger score (the first half ended 1:0 - ed.).
"Copenhagen" was under pressure from "Qarabag", which from the beginning of the match looked incredibly inspired in front of its fans and prepared very well for the match," the publication writes.
Another leading publication, "Jyllands-Posten", quoted the words of Copenhagen's head coach, Jacob Neestrup. The expert acknowledged Qarabag's superiority over the Danish champion:
"Qarabag" was better in the first half in several parameters. We couldn't even get close to our level. But in the second half, we did everything we could and were close to winning. But then we couldn't capitalize on the opportunities and therefore lost."
"Bold" sports publication interviewed Mohamed Elyounussi, the Norwegian striker of the Danish club. He noted that all Copenhagen players were disappointed with the outcome of the meeting.
"DR Nyheder" published an article with the headline "Copenhagen was crushed in Baku":
"In the match held on October 1, Copenhagen had serious problems, especially in the first half. The capital club, which will play a total of 8 matches, has only 1 point after 2 games."
