In the 33rd week of the Portuguese League, Benfica drew 2:2 with Braga, falling to 3rd place before the final matches.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, if Benfica finishes 3rd, they will lose the chance to qualify directly for the Champions League.
Benfica opened the scoring in the 46th minute with a goal from Rafa Silva, but Braga took the lead with goals from Pau Victor in the 48th minute and Gorby in the 88th minute. A penalty was awarded to Benfica in added time, and Vangelis Pavlidis converted the penalty in the 90+5th minute to make the score 2:2.
