AFFA has granted a one-season grace period to "Karvan-Yevlax" and "Imishli" clubs regarding coaches, after they were promoted from the I League to the Premier League.
Idman.biz reports that the press service of the organization has released information about this.
At the meeting of the AFFA Executive Committee on March 14, 2025, a decision was made to grant a 1-year grace period to clubs that will be promoted to the Premier League in connection with the increase in the number of teams in the Azerbaijan Premier League in the 2025/2026 season, in order to eliminate shortcomings in infrastructure, administrative and other areas.
Based on this decision, one-season grace periods are applied to clubs that have not played in the Premier League in the last 3 seasons and have been promoted from the 1st league to the Premier League based on the results of the last season:
1. The Coaching Qualification levels stipulated in the Licensing rules for coaches working within the clubs are considered acceptable one category lower (provided that they are not lower than the UEFA C category)
2. U-16, U-17, U-19 and reserve teams may not participate in the leagues.
