The AFFA leadership is visiting the regions.
Lent.az reports that the club's press service has released information about this.
AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev, Deputy General Secretary Kamran Veliyev, Executive Director of the Football Development Fund Tural Piriyev, and Ramazan Samadov, who is responsible for relations with state institutions of the project group for the implementation of the Development Strategy, visited Gabala, Sheki, Gakh and Zagatala regions.
During the visit, they got acquainted with the football infrastructure of the regions, held meetings with the clubs "Gabala", "Sheki City", "Zagatala", local UGISM representatives, and discussed the current situation.
Shaban Shirdanov, head of the Zagatala football club, spoke to Lent.az about the meeting:
"An interesting and productive discussion was held on the many problems of our football. It was emphasized that everyone should approach their work with greater dedication for the new development strategy to be successful. I believe that if this happens, it is possible to achieve development in national and regional football.
Zagatala is a region with an ancient and rich football tradition, and football is one of our spiritual values.
The Musa and Gurban Gurbanov brothers have made football even more popular in the region by representing Zagatala football very worthily.
It is no coincidence that we currently have many football players with professional status in national football.
As a result of our cooperation with the Football Development Fund in the last two years, we are trying to work in the region, especially in the direction of developing children's football. Jahangir Farajullayev, the General Secretary of AFFA, reacted very positively to our appeal to create conditions for the organization of a "D" coaching course in Zagatala in order to prepare licensed coaches, which is one of the problems.
In general, in an interesting and sincere conversation that lasted 2 hours, everyone expressed their views on the ways of developing our football in their field."
