Winning a gold medal at the III CIS Games is a magnificent feeling for Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter Ziya Hasanli (63 kg).
"Report" reports that the athlete made a statement regarding his successful performance in the competition held in our country.
He stated that he prepared seriously for the tournament:
"I achieved my goal and I am happy about it. Especially the final fight was very difficult, but I was able to win. Winning the first gold medal in our taekwondo history at the CIS Games is a magnificent feeling. I faced three opponents. The most difficult was the last fight. But I was ready for it and I am very happy that I was able to do it," he said.
According to the taekwondo fighter, his next goal is to become an Olympic champion.
