The undefeated American, five-weight world champion Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs), who ended his career in December, explained the reason for his decision.
According to Idman.Biz, Crawford believes that he has nothing left to prove in boxing.
"I'm 38 years old. 38 years old is a big age for boxing. I've been boxing since I was seven years old. I have nothing left to prove. I have nothing left to achieve. What else can I do? They're not going to give me what I deserve anyway, so it doesn't even matter," The Ring quoted Crawford.
Terence Crawford is 38 years old. The American made his professional debut in the ring in 2008. He was the world lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) in 2014, the absolute champion in the first welterweight division (up to 63.5 kg) in 2017, the absolute welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) in 2023, the first middleweight champion (up to 69.9 kg) in 2024, and the second middleweight absolute champion (up to 76.2 kg) in 2025.
