Successful start of Azerbaijani boxers at the World Championship

The World Boxing Championship among men and women continues in Liverpool.

Idman.biz reports that the competition is organized for the first time by World Boxing. Azerbaijani athletes have started their performances successfully.

Najaf Guliyev (55 kg) defeated Cuban Rolando Martinez Peres 4:1 in the 1/16 finals, while Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) defeated Albanian boxer Amar Koçini with a score of 4:1.

It should be noted that five of the 11 boxers representing our country at the tournament have already completed their performances.
