The semi-final stage of the boxing competitions at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, which are being held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, has ended.
Idman.Biz reports that three boxers of the Azerbaijani national team have qualified for the final.

Mahammadali Gasimzade, who competed in the 60 kg weight category, defeated local athlete Tamer Almatrfi ahead of time in the first round and qualified for the final. Our representative will face Uzbek boxer Madiyar Daniyarov for the gold medal.

In the 80 kg weight category, Saidjamshid Jafarov defeated Jordanian athlete Hussein Iashaish 5:0 in the semi-final. Jafarov will fight against Turkish representative Sultan Osmanlı in the final.

Aynur Mikayilova, who competed in the 57 kg weight category, defeated Palestinian boxer Nura Abunab 5:0 and qualified for the final. Her opponent in the decisive match will be Khumorabonu Mamajonova (Uzbekistan).

Let us remind you that other boxers from our team, Fatima Mehdiyeva (65 kg) and Sarkhan Aliyev (70 kg), finished the competition with bronze medals.
