The fight between the current UFC heavyweight champion, 32-year-old Englishman Tom Aspinall, and 35-year-old Frenchman Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was ruled a No Contest.
According to İdman.Biz, this was caused by Gane's finger entering Aspinall's eye at the end of the first round.
MMA Mania journalist Alex Behunin reported on social media that Aspinall had been hospitalized.
Due to the fight being ruled a No Contest, Aspinall retains his UFC championship title.
Tom is 32 years old. Aspinall made his professional mixed martial arts debut in December 2014 and joined the world's strongest promoter in 2020. He has 15 wins and three losses.
Ciryl is 35 years old. The French fighter made his professional MMA debut in August 2018. Gane moved to the North American League in August 2019. He has 13 wins and two losses.
