19 Azerbaijani Boxers Advance to Semifinals at "Great Silk Road" Tournament

The traditional "Great Silk Road" international tournament continues in Baku.

"Report" informs that the 1/4 finals among male boxers and the semifinals among female boxers have ended on the fourth day of the competition.

In the 50 kg weight category, Subhan Mammadov faced Shipsy Lachlan (Australia). Our world champion won all 3 rounds and won with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). He will fight Goga Topuriya (Georgia) in the semifinals.

Bilalhəbaşi Nazarov also advanced in this weight category. He won early over his teammate Yusif Soltanov. Nazarov will face Sahil Allahverdovi (Georgia) on the way to the final.

In the women's national team, Gunel Rahimova (51 kg) and Emily Rzayeva (65 kg) finished the tournament with bronze medals.
