The coaching staff of the Azerbaijani national youth basketball teams has been determined. Sport24.az reports that U-16 and U-18 boys' and girls' teams have started preparations for the lower divisions of the European Championships.
The coaching staff of the U-18 teams remained unchanged. Polad Hasanov is the assistant coach of the boys' national team, whose head coach is Anar Sariyev, while Aygün Eynullayeva will again assist Evren Alkaya in the girls' team.
Anar Hajiyev and Rustam Aliyev became assistants to Turkish Erhan Toker, who was newly appointed to the position of head coach of the U-16 boys' national team. The head coach, who had a successful season at the Absheron club, won the European Championship with the Turkish U-20 team in 2014.
Aygün Eynullayeva will assist Turkish Ferhat Akcan, who was newly appointed to the position of head coach of the U-16 girls' national team. The head coach previously worked as an assistant coach at the Ormanspor club.
