Manchester City midfielder Rodri will undergo surgery for a back problem. According to Sport24.az, the club's press service has announced this.
The team's head coach Enzo Mareska stated that Rodri needs treatment and recovery time:
"Rodri will undergo surgery due to a back problem. He needs rest and recovery. After that, he will be back with us".
Mareska also highlighted the high level of the Spanish footballer:
"Every coach would want Rodri in their team. He is a world-class player".
Note that although Rodri is not fully fit, he won the 2026 World Cup and was named the tournament's best player.
