Former Barcelona defender Dani Alves has spoken about the most important lesson he learned while working under coach Josep Guardiola.
Idman.Biz reports that the former Brazilian footballer shared an interesting memory.
"I'll tell you one thing. Usually, if players play on Sundays, they don't train on Mondays. They rest, go for a massage, and undergo recovery procedures. But I used to train, because it was my rest. Pep would say: "This guy is a little crazy", but he accepted it. I would answer: "I didn't do much on Sunday, so I have to do something on Monday". So, I would train with the players who didn't play.
Pep taught us that your own job is enough, it's enough to do your own job. Don't try to do someone else's job", – Alves told „Mundo Deportivo“.
Dani Alves and Josep Guardiola worked together at Barcelona from 2008 to 2012. Their collaboration lasted for four seasons (2008/09–2011/12), during which Barcelona won 14 titles.
