Azerbaijan's women's 3x3 basketball team started the FIBA Champions Cup, held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, with a defeat. Sport24.az reports that the team, which is in Group B, faced Canada in its first game.
The match ended with the opponent's victory - 16:10.
The national team will clarify relations with the hosts at 16:05. The team will meet Spain tomorrow.
It should be noted that the winner of the tournament will get the right to participate in the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2027, the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2027, and the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which grants a ticket to the 2028 Summer Olympics.
