İdman.biz, referring to "Report," informs that this was stated by the President of the Basketball Federation, Emin Amrullayev, at an event dedicated to the opening of the new season of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
He said that they are sometimes criticized for attracting foreign players to the team: "We want to use the services of players who can benefit Azerbaijani basketball. If we want to participate in a prestigious competition like the Olympics and achieve some success, we sometimes have to use the services of foreign players. We believe that over time our local basketball players will reach the required form and we will achieve success with them."
