Punhan Shahmarov, competing in the 48 kg weight category, defeated the Hungarian representative V. Olash with a score of 11:3. With this result, our athlete qualified for the 1/8 finals.
Huseyn Amrahli, who tested his strength in the 38 kg category, won a confident victory over the Armenian wrestler G. Karapetyan. Our representative defeated his opponent with a score of 9:0 and advanced to the 1/4 finals.
Rasul Ahmadli, competing in the 52 kg weight category, lost to Turkish Muhammed Ozen with a score of 1:2 in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the U-15 European Championship will last until May 24. Azerbaijan is represented in all three types of wrestling at the competition.
